The Siemens Acuson S2000 Ultrasound Machine is part of the Siemens Acuson "S" Ultrasound Series. The S1000, which is compatible with many ultrasound probes and transducers, including 3D/4D probes
The S2000 is extremely versatile, capable of generating ultrasound images for many different applications. With options for 3D/4D obstetrics and abdominal images, it is also capable of cardiac, vascular, musculoskeletal, small site (including breast, thyroid and testicular) and urology applications.
Some of the technological features of the S2000 include, in addition to the 3D/4D option, Doppler imaging, speckle reduction technology, spatial compounding, tissue harmonic imaging and B-mode. Averaging Ultrasound Images - Allows for accurate diagnosis, resulting in healthier and happier patients. Other technologies that make ultrasound more human include SmartExam and ScanAssistant.
When an ultrasound machine is compatible with many different types of ultrasound probes/transducers, it is a versatile indicator because of its ability to project images for a variety of applications. Probes mean this ultrasound machine can project vascular, small parts and musculoskeletal images. Other types of probes compatible with this unit include curved array, phased array and pencil CW (continuous wave) probes.
